Earth Boys Are Easy (or EBAE, because it wants to be your bae) is a quick, lighthearted visual novel developed in a month (or so) for Barajam 2018. It features:

  • Words! Possibly even sentences! (Okay, okay. It's about 11,000 words.)
  • Aliens!
  • Sex! (So you should be 18+ or of legal age to view adult materials in your area.)
  • And πŸ†. Lots and lots of πŸ†.

Brought to you by poorlyformed on guitar art and Bob Conway on words.

I still can't somehow get the 4th gallery anytips?

The fourth CG on the top row? You get that by getting both Ajax and Cato to stay with you.

If you play through the game again after unlocking the two normal endings, some new options will appear. If you manage to woo Ajax and Cato equally, they'll both stay with you.

Loved it!!! Had a ton of fun playing it.

Love this game! I've played it through quite a few times, got each guy to stay and the ending where you can skip to the end, but I can't seem to get them both to stay at the end, no matter how nice I am to them both. Any idea where I might be going wrong?

I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Getting the ending with both guys requires you to have exactly equal affection for both of them... the skip just makes it easier because there's fewer decisions

Just alternate choices between ones that Ajax and Cato would like.

I liked the game, however I'd suggest if you could include the blue alien (my favorite, sorry I forgot his name) topping the main character. I had high hopes of him topping the MC only to find scenes of him bottoming...

Thanks for playing, and for the suggestion.

As this game was made for a one month gamejam, we're not really going to make any more changes to it at this point. But we're glad you enjoyed the game!

The climate change speech ACTUALLY horrified me. Like, I really close the game and took some minutes to breath.  It was just too unexpected. The scratched font and the alien face getting closer... It reminded me of salad fingers for some reason. Not cute. 😣

Sorry about that! He's just supposed to be really upset, and Cato is never one to hold back about things he's passionate about.

That's the only part of the game like that, though. Everything else is fairly light and fluffy.

Ive unlocked all paths but having both of them at the end. I don't know if that's possible, but an Earth Boy can dream. πŸ˜πŸŒˆπŸ‘ΎπŸ‘½πŸ›Έ Anyways, great game!

It's possible! After getting both of their individual endings, some new options should appear when playing through again...

I did see a few other options but mostly I end up alone now. I will persevere! 🌈

You have to gain their favor equally before the end. (You can do it without the new options, but the new options make it easier.)

Noted. Thank you! I will try on my lunch break this evening.

Hey, Just wondering, can you live with both Ajax and Cato? Just wondering seeing as I love them both equally (Props for really good game).

I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

There's an ending with both of them. After achieving each of their individual endings, you can play through again and encounter some... new game options. If you manage things just right, they'll both stick around.

do you have more

What are you looking for more of?

There isn't a EBAE sequel currently planned, but both PoorlyFormed and myself have other games we've worked on.

This is a fun game. Ajax and Cato feel both relatable and yet alien enough to be...well, convincingly aliens. Nice writing, interesting sprites, and the third playthrough got some good laughs from me.

I just wish I knew how to get those last four CGs in the gallery. Nobody has made a guide, and now I am left staring wantingly at them. Fortunately I've not gotten to shaking my fists impotently at the sky, but we shall see.

Thanks for the hard work on the game. I can't wait to see what this year's Barajam will create. Will you be entering it if one does appear?

Which CGs are you missing?

I'm hoping to participate in BJ again, if time permits. If you like my writing, you can check out Charles 2.0 (my nanoreno 2019 game) or YAGS, and if you liked the art, you can check out PoorlyFormed's current project Shadowburg.

The one of the couch and the TV, one of a look out the door to the eggplant fields, another of the same field with the ship burning/exploding, one of the cows (one upside down), and Eggplant Man taking a vacation on an alien world (or a beach; hard to tell in this game). I might be missing something incredibly obvious to get these to open up - I missed how many I needed after all.

Will do. I've already checked out Shadowburg (promising start there) and I've been pondering on checking out both Charles 2.0 and YAGS for a bit now.  Can't wait to see what they bring to the table. I hope your schedule works out for BJ. :D

Oh, are you asking how to get those *in the game*? Because it sounds like you already have them unlocked.

Those are bonus "CGs" that don't actually show up in the game itself.

The first four are placeholder backgrounds that I drew to use during development, that unlock when you complete the game once, and the last one is a random thing PoorlyFormed drew that unlocks once you complete the two normal endings.

Hah, well thank goodness you told me. I was getting ready to dive deep into the strip poker or Twister games to see if there was a special scene that only came out if you played through both endings, used the fourth wall breaking opening and made a very specific combination of moves... or, I don't know, clocked on the eggplant trophy in a particular scene. Sneaky easter eggs and such.

good little game :)

but if i can give you a advice , you should put a option to remove the eggplant thing around the text-box , it take a lot of place on the screen , and a option to modify the transparency of the text-box

Thanks for the suggestions.

We're not likely to make any further changes to the game at this point, as it was a project for Barajam last year, but those are things we'll keep in mind if we do end up having other things we have to clean up.

This is a really nice, short, erotic visual novel. I am wondering if there's a way to get both Cato and Ajax because I just want to have sexy times with both of them...

(+2)

There's an ending with both of them. If you unlock both of their endings, then play again, you may find some... interesting developments.

Ooh, will do.

Wow, a nice self-aware ending to a good game. Thanks for the tip.

I've played through the game and thought it was pretty cute.  It's a good thing I'm not allergic to eggplants since there's so many.

Thank you for your comment!

We're glad you didn't have an adverse reaction to our game, or its eggplants. πŸ˜³

I never know I need this ero-romcom with extraterestrial taste until I deliberately stumbled upon it.

(And the description certainly didn't lie, because I found lots of  suggestiveπŸ† in there, both literally and figuratively ;D )

We're sorryhappy that you sought outcame across our game, and glad that you enjoyed it!

Stay tuned for upcoming updates that will add even more πŸ†.  Literally. Wait, no. Not literally.
